The lighthouse Falshöft was built from 1908 to 1909 by Pommerby at the inlet to the Flensburg Firth. He was in service from 1910 until 2002. The red and white coloring was done in 1961. It is constructed of separate cast iron elements fastened together. Many of these lighthouses can be found on the shores of the North Sea and Baltic Sea. They vary in their coloring and their signals of course.
