Oshi Castle is renowned for withstanding a water attack by Ishida Mitsunari during Toyotomi Hideyoshi's campaign to conquer Odawara, yet it remained standing. In the Edo period, a third-story turret was added, and it served as the administrative center for the Oshi clan. Shigeru Ishihara recreated this magnificent castle in his series of 1/300 Japanese monuments.
